CTE designation
Attendees who successfully complete the Fundamentals of Business Travel Management course, either as a two-day workshop or online, will be eligible to earn the Corporate Travel Expert® (CTE) designation by passing the CTE exam online. Carrying the CTE designation following your name shows that you have mastered the fundamental tenets of corporate travel management.

Certified Corporate Travel Executive
About CCTE
The CCTE program, consisting of 2 Core Weeks of classes and 5 one-day electives, is designed for business travel management professionals who want to enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity. The CCTE program adds to the individual's expertise in developing and managing corporate travel programs. Today's corporate success depends on adapting to the changing global business environment and using corporate travel as a strategic tool.
Carried out in conjunction with The University of Houston Conrad Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management, the CCTE program stresses the use of the latest technologies to improve day-to-day operations. Students are also trained in financial management techniques and control procedures to assure accountability in their travel programs. As a result of their CCTE training, travel managers will develop the skills and expertise to:
- better define and understand future directions and trends in both corporate travel and the business environment
- develop and apply systems thinking and approaches to improve their management techniques
- promote the conduct of business and progress toward their company's economic and strategic goals
- achieve personal excellence and function more productively within their corporate culture
Strategic Meetings Management Certification (SMMC)
The Strategic Meetings Management Certification (SMMC), featured in Corporate Meetings & Incentives, Meeting Focus, Business Travel News, and Travel Pulse, is a new professional development certification program from the National Business Travel Association. SMMC is the only industry certificate focused on the theory and practice of Strategic Meetings Management.

Global Leadership Professional
GLP Program and Designation
The Global Leadership Professional (GLP) program is a master's level executive education program developed by the NBTA Foundation in conjunction with The Wharton School. The program uses an interdisciplinary approach to address both the opportunities and challenges of conducting business in today's environment. Participants in the program also have the opportunity to further their experience in the program by earning the Global Leadership Professional (GLP) designation.
CGTE Certification
The CGTE program is aimed at helping government travel professionals meet the demands that come with managing multi-faceted travel programs. The knowledge and skill sets gained from completing the CGTE program help to build a strong leader and a successful government travel manager.
